The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, along with its local government units (LGUs), proudly received numerous awards at the prestigious Pasidungog sa Dose 2024 ceremony, organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 12. Held at Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City, the event celebrated exceptional achievements in governance, peace and order, and public service within Region 12.
South Cotabato’s provincial government and its LGUs were recognized for their dedication to enhancing service delivery, promoting public welfare, and fostering a drug-free, safe, and progressive environment for their communities. Among the top honors received were the Drug-Free Workplace Seal, multiple recognitions for effective anti-drug and peace initiatives, and awards for fostering strong civil society engagement.

Provincial Government of South Cotabato
- Drug-Free Workplace Seal: Awarded in recognition of creating a drug-free workplace environment in compliance with the DILG’s certification requirements.
- Highly Functional Local Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC): Acknowledged for its strong stance on preventing violence and trafficking.
- RCSP-ELCAC Implementation Award: Recognized for the successful localization of Executive Order 70 through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) for addressing local communist armed conflict.
- Outstanding Partnership for BIDA Fun Run and Diyalogo: Recognized for the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council’s (PADAC) role in organizing community events to promote anti-drug awareness.
- CSO Academy of SOCCSKSARGEN: Lauded for its pioneering role in establishing a Civil Society Organization Academy to foster community involvement and development.
Municipality Awards
- Drug-Free Workplace Seal was also awarded to LGUs Banga and Sto. Niño for achieving drug-free workplace environments.
- RCSP-ELCAC Recognition was granted to Lake Sebu, T’boli, Tampakan, and Tupi for their commitment to counter-insurgency efforts in support of EO 70.
- Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Honors: LGUs such as Norala, Surallah, and Tantangan were distinguished as outstanding councils, achieving high marks in the CY 2024 ADAC audit.
- GEMS for SK (Good Environmental Management for Sangguniang Kabataan): Awarded to Barangay Maligo, Polomolok and PPSK Tupi for promoting environmental awareness among the youth.
- Local Economic Development (LED) Model LGU: City of Koronadal was recognized as a regional model under the "Replication of Regional Initiatives on LED: Recovery Initiative towards Sustained Local Economy (RISE) Program."
- Most Outstanding Peace and Order Council (POC): Awarded to City of Koronadal for excellence in maintaining peace and order.
The Pasidungog sa Dose event, DILG XII’s premier recognition platform, acknowledges LGUs, civil society organizations, and partner agencies across the region for their commitment to advancing governance, service delivery, and community well-being. The Provincial Government of South Cotabato and its municipalities continue to set benchmarks for excellence, reinforcing their commitment to a safer, healthier, and more prosperous Region 12.
