Gov. Tamayo enjoys wide lead in Pulso ng Koronadal online poll, reflecting public approval of his leadership

Incumbent South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. maintains a massive lead over challenger Shine Espinosa Miguel in the recently conducted Pulso ng Koronadal Online Poll Survey—a strong indication of public approval for his six-year track record as the province’s top leader.
The survey, which gathered responses via social media reactions, revealed the following results:
✅ Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. – 82.62%
✅ Shine Espinosa Miguel – 12.16%
The 70% margin highlights Gov. Tamayo’s continued dominance in the gubernatorial race, with many netizens expressing support for his pro-poor programs, including free hospitalization, free education, and infrastructure projects.
Who is Shine Espinosa Miguel?
Shine Espinosa Miguel is the wife of South Cotabato 2nd District Congressman Peter Miguel. Despite her husband’s political background, her bid for the governorship appears to struggle in gaining traction, as reflected in the survey results and online discussions.
“He Deserves to Finish His Last Term”
The comments section was flooded with expressions of support and confidence in Gov. Tamayo’s leadership:
📌Si Gov Tamayo lang gihapon! Deserve niya ang last term.”
📌 “Wala na’y lain, si Gov na gyud ni. Hapit na mahuman ang mga nindot niyang programa.”
📌 “Laban Gov! Kita na ang resulta sa imong pagpangabudlay.”
📌 “Dako na ang nauswag sa probinsya. Padayon ta sa maayo nga lider!”
Meanwhile, others questioned Shine Espinosa Miguel’s candidacy, pointing out her lack of experience and connection with the people:
📌 “Pag concede na lang Shine Miguel.”
📌 “Padalagana anay ng kalaban ni Gov sang Brgy Kagawad.. anu tana ng iyan bal.an sa politics?”
📌 “Mag bag-o pa man na sa election mga ma’am and sir. Si Gov. 100%, si Shine 0% na.”
📌 “Hindi man gwapahay ang basihan sa pag-gobernador, isa pa kani nga itsura dili ni kabalo makamasa, mata pobre ni siya klaro.”

While Pulso ng Koronadal’s Online Poll is not an official election survey, it provides valuable insight into public sentiment, particularly in Koronadal City, a major voting population in South Cotabato.
The strong support for Gov. Tamayo indicates public satisfaction with his governance, especially his pro-people programs that have greatly benefited the province. As election day nears, the challenge now lies with the opposition to convince voters why change is necessary—but with Gov. Tamayo's track record and popularity, it’s clear that he remains the leader to beat.
