South Cotabato Police Receives Two New Patrol Cars to Boost Law Enforcement

The South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO) has received two brand-new patrol cars from the Provincial Government of South Cotabato to enhance law enforcement and improve police response time in the province.

The turnover ceremony for the two patrol units was held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the SCPPO compound in Koronadal City. The event was led by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., together with PCOL SAMUEL CADUNGON, Provincial Director,  PLTCOL ROWELL VERGEL G. PARRENO, Force Commander of the South Cotabato 2nd  Mobile Force Company, PLTCOL REY D/ EGOS, Force Commander of the South Cotabato 1st Mobile Force Company, and other key officials.

According to Governor Tamayo, the provision of these patrol cars is part of the provincial government's commitment to strengthening law enforcement operations and ensuring public safety.

“Sa patuloy nating pagsusumikap na gawing mas ligtas ang South Cotabato, patuloy rin tayong magbibigay ng suporta sa ating kapulisan. Ang mga bagong patrol cars na ito ay magpapabilis sa pagresponde sa mga krimen at iba pang insidente sa ating lalawigan,” Governor Tamayo stated.

The newly acquired patrol units are expected to enhance police mobility, improve visibility, and strengthen crime prevention efforts across the province. They will also help SCPPO personnel respond more efficiently to emergencies, ensuring the safety and security of South Cotabateños.

Governor Tamayo reaffirmed his administration’s full support for law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the local government and the police in maintaining peace and order in South Cotabato.

"More programs and resources will be allocated to ensure that law enforcement agencies are well-equipped to carry out their duties effectively."

With the turnover of these patrol cars, the SCPPO is expected to further improve its rapid response capabilities, especially in remote areas where police presence is crucial.
