During the event, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. emphasized the importance of understanding the true source of the funds and ensuring they are used properly.
“Pera niyo ‘yan, ibinabalik lang ng gobyerno sa inyo,” Governor Tamayo remarked, clarifying that the financial aid comes from the people’s money and should be treated as such. “Hindi niyo ito utang sa akin ha?”
He urged beneficiaries to share this understanding with others and prevent the program from being misused for political purposes.
“Yan ang ibalita niyo sa inyong mga kapitbahay at ipaintindi na ang programang ito ng ating gobyerno pera ‘yan ng taumbayan at hindi pwedeng gamitin ng mga pulitiko para sa kanilang personal na interes,” the governor added.
Tamayo also encouraged recipients to make the most of the financial support provided, reminding them to use it wisely.
“Gamitin niyo ito ng maayos, upang hindi masayang ang inyong pinagtrabahuan.”
The TUPAD program provides temporary employment through community-based jobs, such as sanitation, road maintenance, and environmental clean-up. This initiative offers not only financial relief but also meaningful work opportunities for displaced and disadvantaged workers in the community.
Governor Tamayo’s commitment to transparency and the responsible use of government resources aligns with his administration’s ongoing efforts to support the people of South Cotabato through "Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo".
