Governor Tamayo leads groundbreaking for PHP 280M capitol expansion

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new 4-storey Capitol Right Wing Building on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Provincial Capitol Compound along Alunan Avenue, Koronadal City.

Governor Tamayo was joined by members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato (PGSC), and other provincial officials in this significant event.

In his speech, Governor Tamayo emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to enhancing public service delivery. “Together with our provincial officials, we aim to further improve the delivery of proper and efficient services that every South Cotabateño deserves,” he stated.

The PHP 280-million infrastructure project is designed to accommodate nine PGSC offices, providing a modern and efficient workspace for provincial employees. The building is expected to be completed within 720 calendar days.

The new building reflects the provincial government’s proactive approach to addressing the growing needs of South Cotabato and ensuring that government services remain accessible and effective.

This project is part of Governor Tamayo’s broader vision to strengthen governance and infrastructure, reinforcing the province’s status as a hub of progress and development in the region.
