The wait for the T'nalak Festival 2013 schedule came to a close as the provincial government of South Cotabato through it's tourism arm Arts, Culture, Tourism and Sports (ACTS) Promotions Unit finally released the T'nalak Festival 2013 Schedule of Events yesterday, June 16, 2013.
All events of the T'nalak Festival this year will be held in the City of Koronadal, the capital of South Cotabato. On July 11, an Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center will kick off the week-long T'nalak Festival 2013. It will then be followed by the ceremonial opening of the Agri-Fair and Bahay Kubo Showcase, Torch Parade and Switching On of Lights on Trees at Alunan Avenue and in front of the provincial capitol. The Thematic Parade and Cosplay Parade and Competition is one event to look forward to, it will be happening morning of the following day July 12 to be followed by the T'nalak Festival 2013 Opening Ceremony at the South Cotabato Sports Complex and the South Cotabato Regional Industrial, Technology and Trade Expo opening ceremony at Gaisano Grand Mall of Koronadal.
On July 13 the third day of T'nalak Festival 2013, there will be a fun run in the morning, a motorcross competition, Cheerdance Competition and the National Dog Show Elimination. The South Cotabato Pop Music Solo Voice Competition will take place on July 15 and South Cotabateña beauties from all over the province will compete for the coveted Mutya ng South Cotabato 2013 crown in the evening of July 16. The next day July 17, the final judging of the Bahay Kubo Showcase which will be displayed along Alunan Avenue will take place and the Hip Hop and Team Ballroom competition to be held at the South Cotabato Gymnasium.
On July 18, the T'nalak Festival Parade and street dancing will start at 6:00 AM and the Anniversary Program and the main highlight of T'nalak Festival 2013 - the Street dancing Showdownt will follow at the South Cotabato Sports Complex. A street party, Disco sa Kalye and a fireworks display will cap the T'nalak Festival 2013 celebration in the evening.
From the schedule we noticed that one of the highlights of the past T'nalak Festival celebrations the Balik South Cotabato Night or Balikbayan Night which is a welcome home party for the global South Cotabateños and honors the contributions of the "balikbayans" was not included in this year's celebration. Also to be missed this year is the "one-night-only" concert of invited celebrities and artists as it was also not included in the schedule of events.

T'nalak Festival is the biggest and most colorful annual event in the Province of South Cotabato highlighting the T'nalak fabric woven by the T'boli women in the province. T'nalak Festival is now on its 14th year and coincides with the 47th Foundation Anniversary of South Cotabato. This year's theme is "T'nalak Festival, Uniquely South Cotabato".
